At TBWA, Thomas Jullien served as Creative Director behind The Impossible Rondo; a global campaign celebrating Lionel Messi’s final World Cup and legendary career. The film brought together five versions of Messi - one from each World Cup he played - in a single game of rondo. A bold and authentic tribute to the greatest of all time. Because what’s better than one Leo Messi? Five.

The VFX is a mix of CGI and AI (deepfake).

Apart of serving as a tribute to the career of the 34-year-old, we also honored the late-Diego Armando Maradona by using the same song in the short-film (Opus - Live is life), as the iconic video of "El Pibe De Oro" warming up with Napoli in the 1989 UEFA Cup Final.
